Nancy to Metz

Hi, it's Wednesday afternoon and we're in Thionville, France. We've had some difficulty getting WiFi in Metz. So we were unable to post as soon as we had liked.

Along the Moselle we took a lot of pictures. Here are a few of them.

These were taken on Karhy's iPhone. I haven't yet been able to upload the pictures I took on my camera.

Pont a' Mousson: An unexpected stop to  a bike part on my bike. You should've seen the pastry that Stephen purchased! I wish we got a picture.

Our barge to the rescue with the part for the bike. Our next stop is Metz.

At this point in 1944 the U.S. Army crossed the Moselle. In 1999 the World War II remains of Pfc. Jerome Deneen were also found here.

Roman Empire remains: This aqueduct from second century once crossed the Moselle.

Biking and huge commercial barge along the Moselle. The most gorgeous shots were untaken because we didn't want to crash our bikes!

Metz Cathedral, Protestant Temple & Stephen's bliss at the famous Soupes a' Soup in the Marche' Couvert (Covered Market).

Picnic lunch in the shade on the way to Thionville, France on Wednesday afternoon!
